About the Role
We make magnetic toolbox labels, custom keychains, and promotional products, and we make them ourselves - about 70 3D printers plus UV printing, all under one roof in Freeland. The business went from two printers in a home office to this in roughly a year, and the production floor is where all of it actually happens.
We're looking for someone to keep that floor running. This is not a desk job, and it isn't a job where you'll be bored. Printers need tending, jobs need staging, parts need inspecting, and orders need to go out the door. If you like machines, like seeing finished product stack up at the end of a shift, and take it personally when something ships wrong, you'll do well here.
Full-time, on-site. We are not hiring part-time for this role.
WHAT YOU'D DO
- Operate and monitor a floor of roughly 70 3D printers running production jobs
- Load filament, swap build plates, start and clear jobs, keep the print queue moving
- Routine printer maintenance - nozzle changes, bed leveling, belt tension - and keep the maintenance log current
- Inspect finished parts against our quality standards; pull rejects and re-run them
- Assemble finished goods: magnets, labels, and packaging
- Run UV printing jobs for promotional and industrial orders
- Follow the job instruction books and quality alerts, and speak up when something looks off
- Help with pick, pack, and shipping when volume spikes
WHAT WE OFFER
- $17-$22/hr depending on experience, with overtime available through our busy season
- Two weeks of paid vacation after 90 days

Requirements
- Full-time and on-site, with overtime as needed - our peak runs mid-October through December
- Comfortable on your feet and working with your hands for a full shift
- Mechanically inclined - you're not intimidated by opening up a machine to fix it
- Able to follow written procedures exactly and log your work accurately
- Sharp eye for visual quality; you'd catch an off-center label before a customer does
- 18 or older, and able to lift around 40 lbs
NICE TO HAVE
- Any 3D printing experience - a printer at home absolutely counts
- CAD or 3D modeling
- Manufacturing, production, QC, or shipping background
- Comfort with basic computer tools and print queue software

ColKy Designs & 3D Prints LLC designs and manufactures magnetic toolbox labels, custom keychains, and promotional products out of Freeland, Michigan. We started in 2025 with two 3D printers in a home office. We now run about 70 of them, plus UV printing, in our own building - and we ship nationwide through TikTok Shop, Etsy, Amazon, and our own site.
